The highly anticipated Batman movie has seemingly left people in awe. Between the heroic performance from Christian Bale and the disturbing performance from Heath Ledger people cheer and cringe at the same time. It is defiantly the must see movie of the summer.
From the moment Heath Ledger appears on the screen the whole audience cringes. Heath fully embodies the Joker making it one of the most impressive performances of our lifetime. There are times throughout the movie where you forget that this is the same man who stared in 10 Things I Hate About You and Casanova. His dark mysterious laugh sends shivers up your spine as it echos throughout the theater.
Christian Bale is an amazingly convincing Batman. You watch him struggle with his double life wanting more than anything to leave batman in the past to be with his true love. He puzzled people when he disguised his voice wondering if Christian Bale was the actual person behind the mask. Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and the rest of the cast truly made The Dark Knight the best movie of the summer, breaking almost all box office records.
Although Dark Knight continues to break box office records much speculation has been circulating within the media as to whether a “Dark Knight Curse” really exists.
The curse first started with the tragic passing of Heath Ledger in the spring. Shortly after the release of the film Christian Bale was arrested and this past weekend Morgan Freeman got into a major car accident breaking his shoulder and elbow. Only time will tell.
For those of you who have not yet made it to the theaters to see Dark Knight you must go and see it. For those of who can not wait to get your hands on the dvd, they are already taking pre-orders for this highly anticipated dvd release!
