About Me

Plot Summary-
To follow the trials and tribulations of a young author and maybe learn something along the way…or at least document my love of writing, culture, and this jazzy thing they call the internet!

Characters-
Robert Drake: tall, geeky, a bit paunchy. Has a slight mid-western accent when the mood strikes him. Hopes to one day write a rousing cyberpunk epic fantasy historical mystery drama with all the élan of Miller, paranoia of Lovecraft, and intertextuality of Eco. Is currently working on a pot-boiler. Has no shame admitting he loves watching Kim Possible and intends to buy the dvds for his birthday. Also has an unhealthy addiction to strawberry coladas, long nights, and the word incunabulum.

Settings-
On a windswept plain lost to humanity…well…not really. I currently spend my time between an especially hippy-friendly area of Upstate New York and Packer-Mania Wisconsin. Recent travels have taken me to the unrelentingly sand-scorched Valley of the Sun in Arizona and Long Island, the water-logged vestibule of the Atlantic. I try to make it to Quebec enough to keep my international street-cred up and plenty of roadtrips are planned. Alaska is on the ‘to see’ list.
